The New Start Health Principles (N.E.W. S.T.A.R.T.)

Many of the diseases we suffer from today are caused by lifestyles not consistent with the rules of a healthy diet and lifestyle. In addition, many diseases are of a psychosomatic nature.

Busan Adventist Hospital is a member of Adventist Health, a global hygiene, health, medical and health care network, and one of the leading hospitals in preventive medicine. Sam Yuk follows the principles of health preservation set in the Bible.

  • Nutrition

    Proper nutrition

Proper nutrition with simple and balanced foods (Nutrition) is the shortest path to health.

Fresh fruit and vegetables, unrefined whole grains, legumes, nuts, and algae are the best healthy foods.

Chew slowly and thoroughly during meals, avoiding overeating and unhealthy snacks.

  • Exercise

    Suitable Exercises

Stay healthy through sports, because sports prolong life.

Moreover, lack of exercise not only lowers stamina and intelligence, but also negatively affects morale.

Walking is a simple and accessible exercise for everyone, which is also very beneficial for our health.

  • Water

    Pure water

Water makes up 70% of our body, it removes various waste products from the body and gives vitality.

Pure drinking water is much healthier for our body than any food.

Drink more than 8 glasses of water a day and always practice good hygiene.

  • Sunshine

    Sufficient sunlight

Sunlight is an expression of God's healing and love, and it shines on us all equally.

Sunlight sterilizes and disinfects, and also produces vitamin D that strengthens bones and stimulates the synthesis of various hormones.

  • Temperance

    Moderation

It is necessary to refrain from alcohol, tobacco and other bad habits, including unhealthy diet. It is also worth carefully regulating working hours so as not to overwork. And of course, you need to avoid bad thoughts in your daily life.

  • Air

    Fresh air

Fresh, clean air in most cases is much more healthy than any medicine.

Getting some fresh air, walking in a quiet forest or enjoying the bright sunshine on a clear day is a great start to an already vibrant life. Therefore, do not forget to ventilate the rooms in your home more often.

  • Rest

    Recreation

Recreation is an integral part of health. Recreation is essential for restoration of our body, which is constantly exposed to stress and negative influences.

While many types of recreation are important to your health, the most rewarding and loved one is rest after a day of work.

“Go to bed early and get up early” is a very important principle of NEWSTART, but we often ignore it in our daily life.

Do not forget to relax not only physically, but also mentally.

  • Trust in God

    Faith

Faith in God is a gift of divine power that guides us in choosing the right way of life.

A number of studies show that people who believe in God live 10 years longer than those who have no religion.

Faith in God means realizing the meaning of life, caring for others, and living a healthy and happy life.
